Quang’s journey began in complete quiet. Born deaf and mute, and as the eldest son in the family, he spent his early years working with his father on construction sites to help earn a living. The work was tough, lonely, and left little room for creativity or dreams.
In 2018, his father decided to bring him to Vun Art to learn fabric mosaic art. From the very first days, everyone noticed something special in him—a natural sense of color, deft hands, and strong concentration. Because Quang couldn’t hear or speak, the artists patiently taught him through images, gestures, and step-by-step demonstrations, turning each movement of the craft into a “language” he could understand.
After five years of dedicated learning and hard work, Quang grew from a shy young man who depended heavily on his family into a lead artisan, trusted with the most challenging stages of the artwork. He is especially passionate about portrait mosaics: choosing each piece of fabric, searching for the right expression in the eyes and smile, trying again and again until he captures the character’s essence. Some portraits take him and his teammates five to seven days to complete.
Today, his solid skills give Quang a stable income and the confidence to step into the world with his own abilities. To him, every finished artwork is a greeting—a small story sent to people he may never meet—crafted by hands that once seemed silent, yet now shine with their own kind of light.
